Smart agriculture, also known as precision agriculture or digital agriculture, is the use of technology to optimize crop and livestock production. This can include the use of sensors, drones, and precision farming equipment to gather data on soil conditions, weather patterns, and crop growth, which can then be used to make more informed decisions about planting, fertilization, and harvesting. Additionally, smart agriculture can also involve the use of automation and machine learning to improve efficiency and reduce labor costs. Overall, the goal of smart agriculture is to increase yields while minimizing waste and environmental impact.  +

Key Deliverables * IoT platform that measures air pollutants and greenhouse gases in London, in real-time, by combining ground sensors and satellites’ data * Real-Time monitoring and mapping of air pollution in London * Monetizing reductions of Carbon Emissions to generate revenues and/or debt financing for the London Greenwich’s Borough  +
The proposed project will develop portable AirBox devices to facilitate mobile air quality monitoring, with a focus on PM2.5 sensing, in Taipei city. The device is small-sized and light-weight, and it uses the LoRa technology for low-power and long-range data communication. The expected results of this project are: # it promotes citizen engagement of wearable environmental monitoring ranging from walking, jogging to cycling; # it provides a finer spatio-temporal granularity of air quality monitoring results for further data analysis and environment awareness; and # it interconnects government, academia, industry, and maker community for social good and real-world impacts.  +
Alameda County is located in the state of California in the United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,682,353 making it the 7th-most populous county in the state and 21st most populous nationally. The county seat is Oakland. Alameda County is in the San Francisco Bay Area, occupying much of the East Bay region. </br>The Spanish word alameda means either "a grove of poplars...or a tree lined street." The name was originally used to describe the Arroyo de la Alameda. The willow and sycamore trees along the banks of the river reminded the early Spanish explorers of a road lined with trees. Although a strict translation to English might be "Poplar Grove Creek," the name of the principal stream that flows through the county is now simply "Alameda Creek."  +

In order for cities and design professionals to have a more transparent understanding of the Climate Change impacts of potential building development, they must have a tool that provides quick and facile real time calculation linked to the weather data and utility information of an area, along with the potential energy usage. Between March 2016 and 2017: * We would continue the development of our resource impact estimation tool, [https://www.planitimpact.com/ PlanIT Impact], to create design specific estimations that can be adjusted in an immersive, 3D digital space for optimal iteration and analysis. * We would link to local utility data to estimate ROI, creating links with energy usage and green house gas impact, as this will help to inform (and shed light on possible gaps for incentives). * We would apply this platform to the design and projected energy, water usage and storm water impact on a municipal building project as a prototype and replicable model of how resource impact projection affects actual usage. As an end user of Open Data and Smart City technologies, this also allows the City to showcase and realize the value of this data to their larger constituency.  +
