Ms. Salehi is VP of Growth for TODAQ and co-founder of TODAQ USA. At TODAQ she drives growth and corporate development work with a particular focus on hybrid cloud, digital identity, and critical energy and commodity supply chains and markets. She is always very active in furthering the standards development for the Trust over IP community through the Linux Foundation, the CIO Strategy Council in Canada, and ASTM in the United States.

Before joining TODAQ, Ms. Salehi Esmati had been running her consulting business Cyrus BC Inc, providing clients (both enterprise and start-up) with strategic corporate partnership, business development, international financial regulatory research, and geopolitical analysis. She had worked for over a year at Blockchain Intelligence Group, providing strategic partnerships, business development, and global regulatory research. Her work met the company’s ambition to support cryptocurrency investigations desired by clients including high net worth individuals, the banking sector, intelligence, police, and other government agencies. Shermineh had also formerly served as head of strategic partnerships for the Blockchain and Climate Institute, which helped shape policy for governments in Europe, North America, and multinational organizations. As a Committee Member of Open Source for the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada, she continues to advise on strategic partnerships to innovate while pursuing data security and inclusivity across borders.

Prior to pivoting to the fintech industry, Ms. Salehi Esmati provided policy advice on international security matters to governments, think tanks, while leading a team of researchers at Carleton University. She made use of the critical, analytical and strategic thinking taught to her at the University of Toronto and Harvard where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in government studies. Prior to her work in policy, she had worked for numerous Canadian politicians on the municipal, provincial, and federal levels supporting office legal casework, constituency needs and campaign management.
