She is always very active in furthering the standards development for the Trust over IP community through the Linux Foundation, the CIO Strategy Council in Canada, and ASTM in the United States.

Prior to pivoting to the fintech industry, Ms. Salehi Esmati provided policy advice on international security matters to governments, think tanks, while leading a team of researchers at Carleton University. She made use of the critical, analytical and strategic thinking taught to her at the University of Toronto and Harvard where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in government studies. Prior to her work in policy, she had worked for numerous Canadian politicians on the municipal, provincial, and federal levels supporting office legal casework, constituency needs and campaign management.
