Summary
The Green Platform project MegaCharge aims to contribute directly to achieving the goal of a 50% emission reduction in the transport sector by 2030. This will be accomplished by building a complete value chain for the development of charging infrastructure for electric freight transport, also taking into account limitations in grid capacity.
Charging infrastructure for passenger cars is a well-known technology – the infrastructure for heavy vehicles is not!
MegaCharge will generate new knowledge, concepts and technology for megawatt charging of heavy transport to accelerate the development of high-power charging infrastructure. Several of these solutions are to be developed, built and piloted by industry partners.
