Purpose:
Suwon Research Institute is the first research institute established by the basic local government in Korea in March 2013 , this institute is a Suwon-si think tank established and operated with the will of Suwon citizens .

The Institute is concentrating on improving the future-oriented values ββand global competitiveness of cities while inheriting the historicity of Suwon . In addition, by diagnosing various urban problems that Suwon City is facing, creative and innovative solutions are sought , and useful research that citizens need , one step further, we strive to achieve practical changes in citizens' lives . The research institute aims to become a compass that advances Suwon into a higher advanced city , a global city, and a future-oriented city . In addition , the role and responsibilities of the Suwon Municipal Research Institute for the development of a larger Suwon city with 1.25 million special cases and for improving the quality of life of a welcoming human environment city and Suwon citizens are strengthened, and in this era where citizens are the masters , researchers of researchers .
