The Green Horizons Workforce Development and Vehicle Electrification Center is pursuing a

planning grant that aims to establish a positive sustainable economic impact for the Multnomah County Drainage District community. This project will produce an assessment plan for a combined workforce training and commercial grade EV fleet conversion facility.

This project involves an evaluation framework for open datasets published by the City of Portland. The goal is to create a data analysis tool which provides quality assurance for datasets made available between bureaus and to the public.

Social services are programs or services designed to support individuals and communities in need. They provide assistance with basic needs such as food, housing, and clothing, as well as health and medical care, education and job training, child care, support for individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions, and aging and elder care. These services are intended to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities and help individuals achieve self-sufficiency.

Code for PDX are designers, developers, and product managers, both experts and learners, coming together to make our city better for everyone. We welcome all skill levels and disciplines - no coding experience is necessary.

Code for PDX is a Code for America Brigade, or local chapter, focused on improving the lives of residents of Portland. Code for PDX is made up of individuals who are interested in changing Portland for the better. We work with local government to fix local services, utilize open data to improve citizen knowledge, and work for the betterment of all. We are just getting started, so there are plenty of opportunities to use your skills. Even if you are not a tech type, we can still have opportunities for you to contribute. So come by and become part of a movement to improve our community!
