WSBE23 includes several intertwined components with a core emphasis on peer-reviewed papers that address basic scientific research and development, technological application of solutions, policy, and socio-economic drivers within the manifestation of a resilient built environment. Exemplary solutions are showcased, and structured events bring together researchers, private sector actors, and policy-makers to collectively address climate change resiliency, adaptation, and mitigation through the lens of the built environment.

WSBE23 will incorporate a structured ‘virtual twin’ of conference activities with the goal of greater inclusion of important actors from students and young professionals to delegates from developing countries.

WSBE is a global event with numerous successful editions that have been held in Oslo (2002), Tokyo (2005), Melbourne (2008), Helsinki (2011), Barcelona (2014), Hong Kong (2017) and most recently in Gothenburg (2020).

WSBE23 is focused on actionable outcomes that address the climate change problematic.
