December 3 @ 7:00 am – 8:00 am PST
Solid World is an opportunity to learn how various organizations, developers, and users are working together to build on Solid.
About this Event
This month we will be discussing the flexibility and user experience of Solid data. We will be learning how app developers ingest, transform, connect, enrich, and ultimately unlock the power of personal data in Solid.
Solid World will be using Zoom. Here is the link to dial in and the code is 780 635 4867.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when joining:
If possible please do share your video so other attendees can see you and put a face to a gitter handle
If you are presenting or asking a question please introduce yourself by telling us your name, affiliation, and any Solid work you are involved with.
1545 CET Channel Opens
The channel will open fifteen minutes before the welcome to give you an opportunity to set up.

1605 CET Solid Roadmap Update
1615 CET CERN – Jan Schill & Maria Dimou
Topic: Integrating Solid data with CERN’s existing event-management platform, Indico.
Role: Student Researcher
Bio: Jan is a 2nd year Master’s student at IT University Copenhagen and will be graduating in summer 2021. He works on the CERN-Solid code investigation as part of his Master’s thesis.
Role: Maria Dimou – CERN-Solid collaboration manager
Bio: Maria Dimou studied physics and computing. After some years of work with IBM, she joined the EU-funded research project on network technologies EUREKA COSINE. At CERN she worked on the email gateway configuration and contributed to the definition of X.500 directory protocols, network topology, and web support. She participated in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) project for many years. She chairs the CERN Academic Training Committee and runs the IT rapid e-learning service, which she initiated. She also leads the Documentation project and the CERN-Solid collaboration. More info in https://cern.ch/dimou
1625 CET Data Village – Frederic Lebeau
Role: Co-Founder Datavillage
Bio: Main focus on product, architecture, and bootstrapping with clients.
Topic: We will share how we unlock the value of personal data through practical examples (1 or two depending on the duration of the session). We will explain: how to enrich the existing user experience, how to connect the old world (data sources) to the new world, how do we manage interoperability and how do we handle data processing.
1635 CET Digita – Wouter Janssens
Role: Co-Founder and CEO of Digita
Topic: Inox – A data browser to connect all your pods and see what happened to your data
